The memory of Ronny I will take with me is from many years ago when we were both starting out as sample catchers on a rig. We worked opposite shifts and collected samples from a shaker board for bagging and geological analysis from the shakers, a very dirty and noisy area of the rig. One day the board disappeared down into the ditch below and we had to get it back. Ronny put a rope round his waste and retrieved the board, I pulled him out with the rope. I will always remember him covered in mud from head to foot but with this huge smile on his face, we had succeeded with his idea. Always calm, always ready to help and to listen to other people, a great colleague and a great person
